About the role:

We are currently seeking an Accountant who shares our passion for excellence and commitment to integrity. In this role, you will provide financial support to both Stallion Marine and Stronix, contributing to their continued success and growth.

Specific Skills
  • Proven experience as an accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, tax return facilitation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing financial data and providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Conduct internal audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial guidance and analysis as needed.
  • Set-up new financial databases (for new locations).
  • Prepare Canada and the USA sales tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned by management.
