Specific Skills
Some of what you need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Prior consulting experience or labour standards engineering background is an asset (time in motion analysis, process flow, black belt).
  • Provides advanced data analysis to drive the discussion forward and share required findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and draw key insights from data and develop creative and fact-based recommendations based on that analysis.
  • Strong financial acumen is an asset, with prior experience in creating “Level of Efforts” (LOE), Business Cases, and ROI assessments.
  • Experience using Excel at advanced level and proficiency with other MS office programs (PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams, Outlook).
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing operational improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail process improvement roles, partnering with various business partners like IT, Supply Chain, Merch, Facilities, etc.
Responsibilities
Some of what you will do: As we continue to evolve our in-store product and service offerings, the business process optimization manager will focus on process improvement initiatives, operational efficiency project and application implementations within retail operations. This individual will act as an internal business process expert, leading project teams within the organization to identify, create and execute continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. The Business Process Optimization Manager will be involved in initial project discussions, review of project scope, solution creation, and store implementation stages of a project lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiencies, enhancing/standardizing existing process, creating net new process/procedures and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across our retail channel. Specifically, You Will:
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation to drive efficiency and effectiveness of retail process/procedure.
  • Effectively utilize data and reporting on retail KPIs to proactively identify operational risks, conduct root cause analyses and make recommendations for process improvement.
  • Partner with process stakeholders to map processes, perform data analysis, identify operational waste, determine process bottlenecks and influence corrective action opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support the successful development of recommendations and deployment of initiatives.
  • Lead the implementation of disciplined project control plans to maximize project benefits achievement while reducing process variation and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders process owners and SME’s to develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and detailed work instructions.
  • Oversee daily project management, administration and execution activities, attend meetings, issue meeting minutes and assist with formal project status updates.
  • Manage various processes from planning through to implementation, testing initiatives with field team members through project pilots.
  • Develop deliverables that present information in a compelling, logical, and clear manner based on the needs and requirements of the process.
  • Providing strategic analytic support through data consolidation and analysis to deliver data-driven recommendations and business critical solutions.
