Specific Skills
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with Workday from a system technical configuration and integration perspective including hands-on configuration and integration development experience.
  • At least 6 years of aggregate experience working with HR systems is required.
  • Experience and certifications in Workday HCM is required.
  • Experience and certifications in Workday Integration, Studio, Benefits, Recruiting or Compensation is a strong asset.
  • Experience and certifications in Workday Security, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Learning or Talent & Performance, is an asset.
  • Experience and certifications in Workday Scheduling, Labour Optimization, Help or Payroll is desired.
  • Strong expertise in managing Workday and other HR platforms, serving as a subject matter expert in system configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, driving collaboration, and achieving project goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities with the capability to understand business needs and translate them into effective system solutions.
  • Proficiency in agile methodology such as SAFe or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and contracts related to HR systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Superior organization and time management skill, able to perform under multiple priorities with multiple stakeholders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications capabilities, able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and clearly translate between business and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and holistic thought leadership to the HR Platform Team and enable them to perform and excel as one HR Technology function. This team manages all of HR Technology at CTC including a large portfolio of Workday modules, 80+ integrations to CTC’s downstream systems as well as interfaces with 40+ vendors.
  • Optimize Workday and HR platforms by understanding system implications, identifying gaps/opportunities, implementing solutions and ensuring utilization across the organization.
  • Update and maintain Workday configuration, including creating and executing test cases, maintaining master data values, business process definitions and tenant settings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including HR, Finance and IT, to understand their requirements and provide expert guidance on HR system capabilities.
  • Manage the system environments/tenants, contract management, and vendor relationships related to our HR platforms.
  • Oversee HR system release management activities, ensuring smooth deployments and minimal disruption to users.
  • Manage offshore resources effectively, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrate functional and technical expertise in HR applications and platforms, particularly with Workday. Leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and optimize system functionality.
