Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel on behalf of our client. The ideal candidate will bring at least four years of legal expertise, preferably within the financial services or technology sectors. This role demands a proactive individual capable of navigating the complexities of regulatory compliance, managing legal risks, and supporting varied legal needs in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of contracts and transaction documents.
Conduct thorough due diligence, ensuring compliance with all contractual and legal obligations.
Stay ahead of legislative changes affecting the business and collaborate with internal teams to strategize risk mitigation.
Participate in contract negotiations with key customers and vendors, focusing on compliance with legal standards.
Work closely with internal departments such as finance, product management, and sales to support business objectives and manage legal risks.
Manage corporate secretarial duties, including organizational changes and inter-company agreements.
Support the board and management with governance and compliance reporting.
Lead initiatives to enhance departmental knowledge management and workflow processes.

Educational Requirements

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a reputable institution.
A minimum of 4-7 years of professional legal experience, preferably with a strong background in financial services or technology.
In-depth knowledge of payment systems, consumer lending, and value-added services.
Proficient in financial service regulations, encompassing banking laws, consumer protection, and data privacy.
